Azerbaijan welcomes NATO’s position on Karabakh conflict
Azerbaijan welcomes the fair resolution of NATO on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh which was reflected in the resolution adopted at the Lisbon summit of the alliance.
The statement came from Ramiz Najafov, chief of the department for military cooperation of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan. He was speaking at the international conference ‘Importance of the Chicago summit of NATO: new opportunities for Euroatlantic partnership’ in Baku.
“We do hope that at the Chicago summit of NATO in May of this year this position will be reflected in the documents and decisions to be adopted by results of this important event”, he said.
The international conference is held in anticipation of the next NATO summit to be held in Chicago in May of this year.
